This patient is experiencing Grade 2 CRS reaction. Symptoms must treated promptly to prevent progression to GRADE 3.
Management plan:
Check vital signs frequently
Treat fever with antipyretics
Consider blood culture and systemic antibiotic
If hypotensive, treat with IV fluids or 1 low dose vasopressor
Provide O2 support with low-flow nasal cannula (<6L/minute)
Discuss if Tocilizumab is required
If more than 1 vasopressor is needed, symptoms has progressed. Proceed to GRADE 3 Reaction. Click here
