Neurological adverse symptoms after Car-T therapy
After receiving Car-T cells, a patient may experience immune effector cell associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS) and this can also occur after or along with experiencing CRS.
These symptoms can include
- Encephalopathy
- Confusion
- Aphasia
- Seizure
- Abnormal motor activity and speech disorder
If not treated promptly, can progress to coma.
